Quad-core Vs Octa-core processors

Octa-core processors are those computing devices that contain eight cores, which are organized into two sets of four cores. Each core of an octa-core processor is capable of doing the same tasks as a quad-core processor. Compared to other processing systems, it was made to provide great performance and speed.

Quad-Core processors are those computing devices with four cores, allowing them to accomplish multiple tasks in parallel. As a result, they have the power of parallel processing. These processing systems outpace all others in terms of speed.

Quad-coreOcta-core
There are 4 cores, each of which is capable of handling many tasks simultaneously. There are two sets of four cores, for a total of eight cores that may execute several jobs concurrently.
It is more power-efficient since it consumes less electricity than an Octa-core processor.Compared to quad-core systems, it consumes a bit more power.
Every core is active at all times. In the absence of many intensive jobs, one set of cores is sufficient.
Less heat is produced by it.It produces more amount of heat.
Jobs that only use one thread can be completed more quickly. These are made to efficiently handle multi-threaded tasks.
These processors deliver good performance. These processors operate more effectively.
All cores have the same power. In comparison to other sets of cores, one set’s power is high.
